About the Friends of Patterson Park

The Friends of Patterson Park is a non-profit membership organization formed in 1998 to promote, protect and advocate for our treasured common ground so that it can be enjoyed for generations to come. We believe that a well used and well tended park will contribute to the health and vitality of the diverse communities who call Patterson Park the Best Backyard in Baltimore.

The goals of the Friends of Patterson Park

• To ensure that the recommendations of the Master Plan are followed and funded.
• To provide residents with a voice in planning all future park activities and to sponsor and promote new activities and events to enhance the park’s image and increase park use.
• To support the programming activities of the Department of Recreation and Parks.
• To develop volunteer programs and fundraising strategies to support our goals.
