Concert Schedule 2014

Sunday 6/8 (rain date Wed. 6/11):             Caleb Stine & the Brakemen

The Baltimore Sun calls Caleb Stine the “lynchpin of the Baltimore folk scene” and, just like Baltimore, Stine keeps his music honest- hardworking, genuine, and unafraid to tell it like it is. Don’t miss Caleb Stine & the Brakeman as they make their debut on Pagoda Hill and kick off what will be an unforgettable summer concert season!

Tuesday 6/24 (rain date Wed. 6/25):            The Manly Deeds

The Manly Deeds plays a style of old-timey American roots music shaped as much by the landscapes of their Baltimore, Maryland, home as by the musical traditions to which they aspire. The band writes and re-imagines timeless songs that will make you get up and dance whether you’re on a front porch, a busy street corner, or our own Pagoda Hill!

Tuesday 7/1 (rain date Wed. 7/2):            The Crawdaddies

The Crawdaddies infuse Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Ska, Roots, Rock and Reggae into an incomparable, groove-laden sound that is unquestionably its own. Come out for the Tuesday concert that is certain to put people of all ages in motion as we get ready to celebrate Independence Day.

Sunday 7/13 (rain date Wed. 7/16):            Alma Tropicália

Alma Tropicália reimagines the psychedelic samba sounds of 60’s tropicália music from Brazil – a mind-bending mix of tropical rhythms, soulful funk grooves and day-glo psychedelia that earns them ecstatic reviews across the region. Make sure your hips are well rested, because they will be shaking all night long!

Tuesday 7/22 (rain date Wed. 7/23):            Nadine Rae & the Allstars

Nadine Rae’s rugged, yet soulful delivery illuminates energy and passion that spread to her audience. Her huge voice is reminiscent of Etta James and she has performed with some of the nation’s top blues and R&B artists. Come out to Pagoda Hill and have Nadine Rae & the Allstars give you an unforgettable night of blues.

Tuesday 8/5  (rain date Wed. 8/6):            Jah Works

Known for their high energy, party style atmosphere Jah Works’ live shows are favorites among reggae fanatics as well as non-reggae listeners. A heavy dose of drum and bass combined with sweet melodies, vocal harmony and catchy hooks make this band one of the most popular groups in the region.

Sunday 8/17 (rain date Wed. 8/20):            Joe Falero and the DC Jazz Latin All Stars

This DC-based band has an amazing ability to blend different styles of Latin music like Mambo, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Bolera, Salsa and more! Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Joe Falero is an unforgettable front man with skills on bongos, congas, timbales and vocals. Don’t miss the Latin dance party that will be a wonderful finale to this year’s concert series!
