Saturday May 5- Kinetic Sculpture Race. All over the city and multiple locations within the park. 1-3pm. FREE. It’s one of the most entertaining annual city-wide events and we’re lucky enough to have it snake through our very own park. Check out the sand pit, mud pit, and a surprise obstacle. Sunday May 6- Battle Against Obesity. Patterson Park Tennis Courts, 11am-2pm. Come out and get active during a day filled with tennis games, prizes, and other fun activities at the Patterson Park tennis courts. Battle Against Obesity offers fun for all ages! In case of rain, this event will be held at Du Burns Arena (1301 S. Ellwood).
Saturday May 12- Butcher’s Hill Flea Market & Craft Fair. Near the Pagoda 9 am-3 pm. The semi-annual Flea Market is a great place to find all those treasures you didn’t even know you needed. For more information please contact bhfleamarket@yahoo.com.
Thursday May 17th – Zumba on Pagoda Hill. Pagoda Hill. 7:00-8:00 pm. Come out for the start of this FREE 4-week session with Malindi! Sessions will be held Thursdays May 17th, May 24th, May 31st, and June 3rd. For ages 12 and up!
Sunday May 20- Bike Jam. Come out for bike races, food, music, and so much more. Fun for the whole family. For more information, visit www.bikejam.org. The Friends of Patterson Park will be serving Fat Tire beer!

Thursday, May 24 – Wine Tasting 2012. Join us in Patterson Park at the beautiful historic Marble Fountain, adjacent to the Pagoda for this fundraiser for the Friends of Patterson Park. Wine and cuisine from local wine companies and restaurants, a silent auction, music by Rob Fahey and more! Tickets are on sale for $5 off until April 30th! Buy them here.

Saturday June 9- Fishing Festival. Patterson Park Boat Lake. 10 am –1pm. FREE. Geared toward kids, but everyone is welcome at the fishing festival. Produced by Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks in partnership with the Friends and Audubon. Bring your own rod, or borrow one of a limited number of poles. In addition to fishing, there will also be games to play and crafts to take home with you. It’s always fun, so bring your family down for this great afternoon.
Sunday June 10 – Tour Dem Parks. 7:30am-12noon. The annual bike tour has several routes. They all begin and end in Carroll Park. As always, there will be a rest stop in Patterson Park. For more information visit www.tourdemparks.org.
Sunday June 10- PNC Concerts in the Park. Pagoda Hill. 6:30-8:30. Patrick Alban & Noche Latina open up the PNC Concert Summer Concert Series! Patrick Alban’s combination of Latin and acoustic rock and repertoire of Brazilian sambas, Cuban music, tangos, boleros, and blues is sure to have people dancing the night away on Pagoda Hill!
