Join one (or all) of Patterson Park’s Volunteer Teams!

The Tree Team cares for the TREES! We meet at 9am, on the 4th Saturday of each month, March through October.

The Pagoda Team cares for the flower gardens, cleans the Pagoda, and staffs the Pagoda on Sundays. We meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 10am at the Pagoda to clean. We also need Docents to staff the Pagoda on Sundays, April through October 12-6pm and during special events. Docent shifts are only 2 hours long, so there are no excuses (we need your help to keep the pagoda open and free to the public).

The Boat Lake Team keeps our lake clean! We remove trash and invasive plants on the 1st Saturday of every month May through October.

More Volunteer Days. We also have many opportunities that come up on a weekly basis. For example, if there is a drought, we’ll schedule a volunteer event to water trees and plants. Or, if one of the playgrounds needs our attention, we’ll call a volunteer day to clean it up.  Other tasks may include edging sidewalks, painting benches, picking up trash, weeding gardens, and much, much more!

The Friends of Patterson Park Ambassadors – The Friends of Patterson Park also runs or supports many special events in Patterson Park. Our newest group of volunteers, called Park Ambassadors, help staff events, man membership tables, and promote The Friends at community events

Special Events: Additional special events needing volunteer help include : Baltimore Marathon Water Stops, Bike Jam, Fishing Festival, Youth Volunteer Day, The Annual Halloween Parade, Youth Soccer Leagues, Fishing Rodeo and Audubon projects. If you are interested in helping out during these events, let us know!
