Día del Niño (or Kids’ Day) is celebrated throughout Latin America and the world as a day in which we honor the contributions of children and youth to our communities. The Friends of Patterson Park's Día del Niño Celebration is an annual outdoor event and has become a community staple.

This free event is the largest Día del Niño celebration in Baltimore, bringing over 2,000 people to the park.

It features:

  • Over 20 community partners providing free activities for youth

  • Folkloric dance performances

  • Face painting, sports and games, paper rockets, and arts and crafts

  • A book giveaway

  • DJ and variety of music

  • Volunteers who open the historic Pagoda Observatory for the community to tour

  • Piñata stations for five different age groups (so that every child gets a swing!)

  • Free food

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the event!
