Earth Day Community Tree Planting

Join us as we plant and dedicate our first-ever Earth Day Community Tree on April 20, 2024! This annual program is being established by the Friends of Patterson Park in honor and memory of Victor Malabayabas, a beloved friend of the park. This first year, a single, large tree will be planted just inside the park at the E. Lombard St/ S. Patterson Park entrance.

Anyone may participate in dedicating this tree in Patterson Park to celebrate, honor or remember a special human or pet friend, with a donation of $100 to the Friends of Patterson Park. This first tree planting is limited to 30 dedications, and these donations will be used to establish a fund dedicated to tree care in Patterson Park. Donors may attend the planting along with limited guests (we will issue the emailed invitation), and each may help us create a temporary laminated dedication sign that will remain on the protective fencing around the young tree for 9-12 months. Download the FAQ below to get answers to all your questions!

Donations received are administered by Friends of Patterson Park and will help to support tree care in Baltimore's Patterson Park. Questions about this program may be directed here.
