A tree is a vibrant, living legacy that enriches our shared green space. We are pleased to offer a limited number of commemorative trees in Patterson Park, so that you can celebrate a loved one or event with a gift that will benefit future generations. All proceeds from this program go to fund a Friends of Patterson Park-led tree care program in Patterson Park, which helps us to water and mulch young trees as well as prune and otherwise care for the park’s trees.
We currently have a few options for tree dedication.
Our Community Tree Planting, taking place in the spring, allows a number of people to take part in a dedicating a single large tree in the park. More information on that is here.
You can be a Tree Champion with a gift of $300, which allows us to plant a tree in the park at a future planting. You will receive an e-certificate to send to an honoree if desired.
Participate in a private planting to dedicate a tree for $1,000. There are limited numbers of these available in spring or fall, and plaques may be added at additional cost. If you’d like to raise funds for this option, we can set up a fundraising page for you.
More information and an FAQ are available here. If you would like to move forward with a Tree Champion or private planting, you can do that here, or contact trees@pattersonpark.com.
