Patterson Park Wine at Sunset FAQ

Gates –We will begin ID Check at 5:45pm. Please have your 21+ government issued ID out and ready.
Eventbrite Ticket Holders – Please print out your tickets or have them pulled up on your phone. We do have the ability to look up the tickets by last name too. Please bring a valid ID.
Main Entrance- The event will take place between The Marble Fountain and White House. This year, we are required to enclose the entire event. Everyone will be given a wristband to enter/ exit. No alcohol may leave the main gate.
Items Permitted – We encourage guests to bring lawn chairs and water bottles (we will have water filling stations available).
Items NOT permitted – coolers, tents, beach umbrellas, outside alcohol, and illegal substances.
Pets – Pets are not allowed inside the event.
Kids – This is not a kid-friendly event. Only non-mobile babies are allowed at this event.
The Cellar Experience – Take your experience to the next level by purchasing a Cellar Experience ticket. Enjoy access to our exclusive wine tasting experience under the big tent, featuring four wines. In addition to the specialty wines, The Oyster Guy will delight guests with a tasting plate of oysters and PierPoint’s charcuterie boards.
***Check-In for the Cellar Experience will take place at the entrance of the large tent where guests will receive a VIP wristband and their Cellar Experience Passport
“Wheelbarrow of Cheer” Raffle – To raise additional support, the Friends of Patterson Park is raffling a “Wheelbarrow of Cheer” (wine/ beer/ spirits/ wheelbarrow/ wine tumblers, valued at $900). Only 100 tickets are available, at $50/ per ticket. Each ticket comes with a bottle of Honor Brut Cava to take home.
Also this year, we have a print donated by local artist Crystal Moll! Tickets for both are available HERE.
Elijah Craig Custom Bottle Engraving – Heaven Hill Brands will be sampling Old Fashioned. Purchase a bottle of Elijah Craig for $35 and get it custom engraved.

6:15pm – 6:30pm – Wide Roots - “Decoding European Wine Labels"Have you ever gotten lost in the French, Italian, or Spanish wine aisles in a store? Understanding wine labels from these and other European countries can be confusing, somewhat because of language but mostly because of the emphasis on “place” for those wines. Learn how to re-frame wine from the perspective of the great wine producing regions, and how knowing what to look for can unlock a bigger world of wine experiences. Participants will get access to a downloadable guide to help with their wine buying experiences.
6:40pm to 6:55pm – Noir Sunshine Winery - “Uncork the Cleanest Pour: Natural Vegan Wines in Maryland”
Think all wine is vegan? Join Sharmaine Taylor, winemaker at NOIR Sunshine Winery for an eye opening discussion on Maryland's growing movement of natural, vegan-friendly wines-crafted without compromise.
7:05pm to 7:20pm – Off the Rox - “Wine Buying Tips” - Join Ty Jackson-Cole and Jeryl Cole, owners of Off the Rox, for an informational session on the best way to shop for wines in a retail setting.
7:30pm to 7:45pm – Wide Roots - “Wine: fact or fiction”? - Do sulfites give you headaches? Do European winemakers export less than standard wines so they can keep the better wines in Europe? And do you need to spend a lot of money for a good glass? Learn about these and more in
an interactive session with Russ Lorber, that will dispel myths and set the record straight.
7:55pm to 8:10pm – Cane Collective - “Warm Weather Cocktails” - Join, Co Owner of Cane Collective, Aaron Joseph for demonstration of Fun and simple Warm weather cocktails using cane Mixers and Spirits from old line.
Broken Glasses – Please be very careful with your glass! Currently, we do not have any extra glasses.
Cash & Credit Cards– We will accept both cash and credit cards for raffles and wines by the bottle.
Parking - There is no parking inside Patterson Park. There is street parking available surrounding the park. We also recommend walking, bicycling, or scooting.
Uber & Lyft – We recommend getting dropped off at the corner of Lombard and S Patterson Park Ave.
Portable Restrooms – The portable restrooms will be located on the main path near the Observatory. We will be sure guests can exit/ enter the event easily. Alcohol may not leave the festival.
Drink Responsibly – Everyone must have a 21+ wristband to drink. Please drink responsibly. Servers will not be permitted to serve any intoxicated guests.
Weather – The event is rain or shine, and tickets are non-refundable. We have added several large tents in the event of rain.
Questions – Our management team will be ready to assist guests and will be at the front gate.
